Digital Trading Lead (Marketplaces)

About the Role

Permanent - 39 hours per week

Hybrid (Head Office – Windermere | Minimum 3 days per week)

As the Digital Trading Lead (Marketplaces), you’ll be the key link between Lakeland’s internal teams and our external marketplace partners, ensuring seamless operations and delivering commercial success. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day marketplace trading activity, optimising product visibility, and ensuring the best possible customer experience across all third-party platforms.

You’ll combine operational focus with commercial insight, balancing data-driven decisions, hands-on trading, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver strong marketplace performance and meet sales targets.

What You'll Do

•Act as the central contact for marketplace operations, ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and external partners.

•Manage the full lifecycle of marketplace listings – sourcing products, loading accurate data and imagery, and maintaining compliance with platform guidelines.

•Conduct daily operational checks on product feeds, stock, pricing, and fulfilment SLAs to ensure optimal trading performance.

•Monitor product visibility and collaborate with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to implement and test promotional or boosting strategies to maximise ROI.

•Provide regular reporting and performance analysis to the Ecommerce Manager and key stakeholders, flagging risks and taking proactive action to prevent SLA breaches.

•Manage pricing, promotions, and stock availability in line with guidance from Buying & Merchandising and Digital Trading teams.

•Continuously optimise marketplace performance through data-led insights, responding to platform communications and leveraging emerging trends.

•Collaborate closely with Customer Services to maintain Lakeland’s high standards of service across all marketplace touchpoints.

•Support the onboarding and integration of new marketplace partners, working with Digital Operations and Development teams to expand Lakeland’s digital reach.

What You'll Bring

Experience & Knowledge

•Proven experience in managing or trading on B2C marketplaces (e.g. Amazon, eBay, or similar), ideally within a multichannel retail business.

•Strong understanding of ecommerce trading, merchandising, and optimisation principles.

•Demonstrated operational excellence and the ability to champion change in a fast-paced environment.

•In-depth knowledge of online customer journeys, UX principles, and conversion optimisation.

•Strong data and analytics skills, using tools such as Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics, or similar.

•Advanced Excel capability; SQL experience desirable.

•Experience managing third-party relationships and marketplace integrations.

•Familiarity with SAP PIM/CMS and basic HTML skills preferred.

Capabilities & Attributes

•Commercially astute, analytically minded, and able to translate insights into action quickly.

•Hands-on trading mindset with a bias for action and strong commercial judgement.

•Highly organised, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

•Excellent communicator, able to build relationships across teams and external partners.

•Collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

•Intellectually curious, proactive, and eager to drive continuous improvement.
