Location: Lakeland Distribution Centre, Westmorland Business Park, Gilthwaiterigg Lane, Kendal, LA9 6NW
37 hours per week, Fixed-Term until 28/12/2025

We’re looking for enthusiastic and hardworking people to join our amazing Distribution Team at the Lakeland Distribution Centre in Kendal. As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be helping to get products to our stores and customers quickly, safely, and in perfect condition—just in time for the busiest (and most exciting!) time of the year.
Shift Pattern:
Lakeland Distribution Centre operates 7 days a week between the hours of 6:00am and 10:00pm. We can offer several shift patterns to choose from. Apply today and we’ll do our best to suggest a pattern that balances with your commitments outside of work.
What You’ll Be Doing
•Moving products around the warehouse using ride-on trucks and order pickers (full training given).
•Using digital picking lists and scanners to pick items for our retail stores and our Home Shopping department.
•Playing a key part in keeping the warehouse running smoothly and safely.
About You
What experience do I need?
If you have warehouse experience, that’s great! But it’s not essential. What matters to us is that you are reliable, willing to learn and perform the best you can. You may have similar experience or transferrable skills from another job, such as in retail or hospitality.
What are we looking for?
•Experience operating warehouse trucks (or similar).
•Health and Safety awareness.
•Work accurately, efficiently and at pace towards daily targets.
•Comfortable with performing manual handling tasks and standing for prolonged periods.
•Be reliable and punctual, and able to commute to Westmorland Business Park, Kendal.
•Good communication skills.
•Motivated to work both independently and as part of a team.
•Basic technology and maths skills to make sure stock levels are accurate.
