This is an exciting opportunity for a new role within the Financial Control Team.
You will support the Head of Financial Control and the wider business on matters relating to financial processes and accounting, treasury management, audit and business reporting.
You will be responsible for all property related accounting, including developing and implementing new FRS102 Lease Accounting procedures along with leading year end processes and completing VAT returns. Constant review of financial processes to ensure they are well controlled, compliant and efficient and developing internal controls. Leadership of team members and collaborating with the wider finance function whilst developing relationships with stakeholders across the business.
You’ll be highly literate in financial and IT systems and have great excel skills, highly numerate with an understanding of accounting principles and how to apply them with accuracy and a great attention to detail. A qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQ, you will be a technically strong accountant that enjoys developing processes and controls and seeking improvements and efficiencies in ways of working.
You need to be creative, proactive and show initiative and be a completer finisher, willing and enthusiastic in the follow up of actions and opportunities.
You’ll be happy working independently whilst also enjoying being part of a team, sharing information, knowledge & experience freely and building and maintaining positive relationships. You will have experience of leading, coaching and developing a team.
