Working Patterns

It’s an exciting time to be joining the Lakeland family – it may be Summer, but we’re already making our lists and checking them twice, as we focus on preparing for the festive period!

We’re recruiting for Warehouse Operatives across a variety of shift patterns this year.

With a variety of shifts available, you can choose a working pattern that suits your needs:

Part-Time – 22.5 Hours per Week:

Part-Time Days (no weekend working)

Early Bird (finish work before lunchtime)

Full-Time - 37 Hours per Week:

4 Week Rota Pattern (enjoy three out of four weekends off)

What are we looking for?

If you have warehouse experience, that’s great! But it’s not necessary – we’ll provide a full induction and all the training you need. Forklift experience is desirable, but not a must, as we are prepared to give training to those who are interested. We're looking for enthusiastic and hard-working people to join the Lakeland family and help inspire magic in the home.

What’s important is that you’re bursting with energy and have the kind of positive can-do approach to work that’ll help you fit right in - all we ask for in return is the sprinkle of enthusiasm, dollop of dedication, and attention to detail required to get the job done safely and efficiently.

What will your job look like?

Working in a multi-channel warehouse means there’s a great variety of activity. Depending on priorities of the day, you could be doing anything from:

Getting in your daily steps picking customer orders or filling up our shelves when they run low.

Packing and loading orders onto trailers, so they can be delivered to our customers and stores.

Processing returns, ensuring our customers receive extraordinary service from start to finish.

And if you like the look of our forklifts and picking trucks, we can talk to you about training opportunities in this area too.

What's in it for you?

As part of a huge and happy working family, our colleagues are rewarded with a competitive salary, 29 days paid holiday inclusive of bank holidays (pro-rata for fixed-term contracts) and a group personal pension plan. You’ll be joining a company that truly values its employees in a friendly and welcoming working environment.

We also offer colleagues:

Free onsite parking

Canteen areas with vending machines, TV and pool table

Free tea, coffee and juice on shift

Regular events such as charity sales and Breakfast with the Board

Occasional treats such as bacon buns, cakes and ice-cream

Generous discounts on Lakeland products and Discount Scheme provided by Retail Trust

An Employee Wellbeing programme

Access to our group personal pension plan if you wish to join

A little about us:

Founded in the early 60s, we're still a family-owned business with the same strong values of quality and customer care now as when we first started.  From selling plastic bags for home freezing from the Rayner family garage in Windermere, to over 4000 kitchen and home products today, Lakeland has grown to the extent that we now sent out thousands of parcels a day from our Kendal despatch centre, and we have stores nationwide, stretching from Aberdeen to Exeter, with more in the pipeline...
